Screening for Methylene Blue IV

The safety screening before IV methylene blue.

Before IV methylene blue, lab testing helps your provider assess whether treatment is appropriate for you. A key test checks for G6PD deficiency, an inherited enzyme condition that can cause methylene blue to trigger serious red blood cell damage and anemia. Additional blood work may assess blood counts and kidney function to guide treatment decisions. Labs are one part of screening—reviewing your medications is also essential to identify potentially dangerous interactions.

Where can I get my blood drawn?

At our clinic at 11 Buford Village Way, Suite 137, Buford, where same-day appointments are often available, or at any LabCorp near you. Choose LabCorp in the booking steps above and our patient coordinator will send your order to the location closest to you.

When will my provider get my results?

Results are delivered directly to your provider within 1–2 business days.

Is a consultation included?

Yes, for the Men’s and Women’s HRT, Medical Weight Loss and Vitamin C Infusion panels: once your labs are back, you sit down 1:1 with a licensed provider who reads them with you. Standalone labs (Thyroid, Thyroid Antibodies, Vitamin D) don’t require one.

Do I need labs before starting hormone therapy?

Yes. Every hormone plan starts with labs, and you’ll review your results with your provider before treatment. Learn about hormone therapy.

Can I add individual markers?

Yes. Total T3 and Total T4 can be added to any panel, or ordered on their own when your provider needs targeted data.
